Garden Route Trees : White Cape-beech

Garden Route Trees : Pittosporum viridiflorum – Currently laiden with ripening fruit, the White Cape-beech, also known as Cheesewood and is distinctive in the forests of the Garden Route surrounding Knysna and Wilderness. Fruit that has already split open exposes vivid red seeds which are readily eaten by birds. Photographers should be able to photograph Knysna Turacos feeding from mid morning.
