If you ever doubted the process of global warming, don a mask and fins and immerse yourself in any part of the ocean or take a walk in the forest. In the past 12 years I have managed to record no less than 5 marine species and 4 avian species that are beyond their previously documented ranges.
This weekend in the Garden Route, along with my friend Jeff Ayliffe, we confirmed an unexpected species that I first recorded 18 months ago. And still politicians bury their heads in denial of the drastic policy changes that urgently need to be implemented to mitigate spiralling CO2 levels.
So, as travellers, photographers, global citizens and parents, open your eyes to the rapid changes in the environment as you continue in your daily endeavours and ask yourself and family what you can do to reduce global warming. For your very own future.
